Chuck grew up in an American inner city, where soul, funk, and R&B weren’t just music — they were the pulse of the streets and the heartbeat of the neighborhood. They became the soundtrack of his life and the foundation of his artistry.

He now brings that heritage to the stage with authenticity and power. For Chuck, performing is more than just entertainment, it’s a privilege to carry the spirit of the groove forward, to get people moving, and to keep the funk alive.

Tonita brings a voice that glows — smooth, sultry and alive with funk, disco and late-night soul.

On stage with Metrogroove Collective, she’s the velvet to the groove — blending elegance and electricity, turning every song into a conversation with the night.

Sam stands at the crossroads of harmony and melody. In the chaos of syncopation and swagger, he carves out grooves so thick you could lean on them. Each note oozes attitude, binding the band together with a sound that growls, struts, and dares the crowd to move. Sam’s not just holding it down—he’s laying it down.

Sam - bari sax

Bruce - guitar

Bruce was born under a bad sign, a superbaad sign. Outta the mists of time a boy with a beat in his heart became a man with a guitar. Big bang, squiddlydee - music is life is evolution…Monk to monkey, funk to funky…what we know is this. There IS Soul, & we are all equal in the eyes and ears of The Big G - GROOVE. Let the good times roll…

Dave - bass

Under a school disco mirrorball, Dave heard Flashlight by Parliament and his world shifted. A year later Le Freak sealed the deal, and the groove had him for life.
Countless discos and dance floors later, bass is still home. You might not know names like Bootsy, Bernard or Ready Freddie, but if you’ve ever found yourself shaking your groove thang without knowing why- that’s them. That’s the lineage.
And that’s Dave, your friend at the low end, keeping that groovy conversation alive.

Steve - drums

It started with chopsticks and stools. Gave 'chop' the chop and stools became skins. The rest is history.
Groove is never a rut. Steve's four on the floor will get your two on the floor and more.
